Finally I feel like I have had a productive weekend. Well when I say productive I mean I did something other than sit around all day watching TV and reading blogs. Saturday was spent baking a cake for my friend's birthday with my boyfriend who I discovered can't measure and so the cake didn't rise very well. And by the end of Sunday my friend and I had come to the conclusion that I should be banned from Topshop. On Sunday I took a little trip into Edinburgh to go shopping and I may have spent a tad more than I intended... put it this way within the first hour of being in Topshop I had manged to spend £150 and that was with a 10% discount. I arrived home to a disapproving look from my boyfriend and the promise that he would now be my financial adviser so I didn't end up living on the street. To this my reply was that if I did end up on the street at least I had enough points on my Costa card to feed me for a few days. As for my mum, I have decided it is best not to inform her of my indulgence and so I have hidden all receipts and labels from her so she can remain blissfully unaware of her daughter's splurge.

Pink Is The New Black...

Moving is one of those times in your life when you find things you never knew you had but at the same time manage to lose things you thought you couldn't live without. For example I cannot for the life of me find my favourite pink belt but I did find my music box from when I was little. A small trinket that brought back many memories and put a smile on my face. The other thing about moving is boxes, you surprise yourself with how many carboard boxes you saved 'just in case' and how many boxes it takes to fill what you thought were your few belongings. You also discover that most of the stuff you own is useless rubbish that you can't bare to throw out. So tonight for me will be spent emptying as many boxes as I can, which will not be many as every five minutes I seem to find a photo album/book/jewelery box which I feel the need to sit and examine for half an hour so as you can imagine unpacking is a rather slow process for me.

First of all I think two explanations are necessary. No I am not delusional and think that we are actually having summer weather I am aware it has been raining this week but I recently dyed these shorts which were previously white and I thought I would show you how they turned out. I have to say I'm quite pleased with the colour although I'm scared it might become lighter the more they are washed so I'm considering dying them again.
Second of all the picture of the room is not just a random picture, I recently moved house and was let loose on wallpaper and paint samples and this is the result! I have to say I really love it and can't wait to start buying some nice ornaments etc. The change of room would also explain why my outfit pictures are looking a tad more grey than usual...

Instagram...

So I've had instagram for over two months now and as you can see I just enjoy taking photos of virtually anything. I take all my photos on my fujifilm hs20 which I love. Basically I enjoy photography, I'm not particularly good at it but it's one of those hobbies that is really peaceful and helps you to take your mind of things. If you would like to follow me my username is cara_24 I might start another instagram account soon with more blog related stuff rather than photography but for now this will have to do.

Even when the skies get rough...

This week for me has been spent moping around the house feeling sorry for myself and trying to get everyone else to feel sorry for me too. It has also been one of those weeks where I've had ice cream for breakfast, soup for lunch and soup and ice cream for dinner (not together of course). I was dragged out last night for a meal with my family and this is what I wore. I know it is not very exciting but its the first outfit I've worn this week that has not consisited of joggers and a hoody. Have a nice weekend guys!

Lying curled up on the sofa watching a really old episode of the simpsons and eating tomato soup- the best cure for the cold. Yes in April I have managed to get a cold but is it really that suprising considering that it was only a few days ago that snow was falling. So considering the cold weather this outfit may seem a little bit out of place but it was last sunday night I wore it. I went to a friend's house for a few drinks because during the holidays Sunday night is the new Saturday night.
