Woops so I kind of forgot to blog in a while. I would love to give you a nice excuse about how super busy and productive I've been but the truth is...I've been busy doing nothing. With the gorgeous weather I was never inside long enough to even go near the computer and then recently I have just been super lazy and have basically spent all my time playing board games with the boyfriend. The days just seem to be merging in to one another with Monday quickly turning to Thursday before I even get the chance to blink. But at long last here is an outfit that I wore to go to lunch the other day. The shirt just arrived last week from H&M and I can't decide if it is really for me. As much as I love the pattern and colours I find it a bit short at the front and it doesn't seem to quite sit right but that can just about be resolved by shoving a jacket over the top. I always like to tuck shirts in but with this one that isn't really possible so it does show a bit of skin around the hip area...which when you have been eating to many chocolate bisuits like me is a tad risky.

Hasn't this weather just been gorgeous? From the moment I woke up I've spent all day outside soaking up the sunshine and trying to darken my milk bottle legs. Is it just me or does anyone else feel extremely guilty for even spending a minute inside when we are having weather like this? The sun...and heat is so rare in this country that I really do make the most of it when we get it.
Despite looking forward to this kind of weather for at least a month so I could finally wear my summer clothes when I woke up this morning I couldn't for the life of me think what to wear! I have had all these pretty summer outfits planned in my head for ages and yet when it came to wearing one this morning I had a complete blank. So I opted for my new dress which I snapped up for the bargain price of £10! I love the feel of the material and it sits really nicely without being too floaty at the bottom it also has this nice cut out detail at the back. I have to say I'm quite pleased with my buy.

As you can see I had to move back inside to take some quick pictures because the rain just refuses to stop! I have no idea why these photos look so fuzzy so I do apologise.
Today for me is a lazy day, I had an English exam yesterday and so I have decided that means I am entitled to a day off. Although I have a Biology exam on Wednesday so I shouldn't really be sitting around doing nothing. My lazy day began with a stack of pancakes for my breakfast at about 10am and since then I have no idea where the time has gone so now I'm away to make something interesting for my luch... I think I'm in the mood for pasta. Have a lovely weekend!

The weekend for me was spent working...two seven hour shifts. Although I can't really complain because I don't have to start until 10am which means I still get a bit of that long awaited weekend lie in. I work in a coffe shop that sells amazing cakes which is neither good for me nor my weight and I can tell you standing staring at cakes all day is torture. Recently I've come to the conclusion that it would probably be cheaper and healthier if I didn't work becasue come the end of the day when I get my wages I have come up with a mental list of all the cakes I want. I think next time I'm looking for a job it should probably be in an organic fruit and veg shop or something along those lines anyway. Happy monday.

I have absolutely no idea what my hand is doing here!

I got a tripod stand and found me a nice wall! Isn't my life just the definition of excitement? Well for the first time my head and feet are actually in the photos and I don't know if this is entirely a good thing. I feel like two explanations are due, one regarding my head and the other my feet.
1) I am the least photogenic person ever so do excuse any weird and wonderful faces being pulled in the photos and my hair is permanently a mess but was bad today in particular. You see I wasn't planning on leaving the house and so I thought I would give my hair a break from heat and it turns out sleeping on it wet isn't the best idea in the world. I also rather stupidly let my fringe grow out and so now I just have this limp bit of hair hanging in front of my face.
2) I am not a shoe person. I buy shoes when I need them and tend to buy shoes that match everything so the same pairs of shoes are going to keep popping up in outfit posts.

Do you think these photos are better or worse than the old ones? And any tips on how to take better photos would be much appreciated!

As you can see I was brave today and ventured outside to take my photos. Well I could hardly pass on the opportunity to take some snaps in the sun... yes I did just say sun. It would appear that the sun finally remembered about a small country called Scotland and so decided to pay us a visit this afternoon of which I must say I was rather grateful.
Still enough about the weather, as of today I am now on study leave which I am very happy about. Some people see study leave as a chance to study and prepare for exams and then there is those of us who see it as a months holiday in which very little will be done. Of course I will regret doing nothing when I'm sitting in the exam having a nervous breakdown because in actual fact I know a lot less than I thought I did. The frightening thing about these exams though is they will give me (or not give me as the case may be) the grades I need for university so perhaps I will manage to scare myself into studying.
