Summer holidays are definitely a test to see a) how imaginative you are and b) how exciting your life is. So with that in mind I have discovered that I am neither imaginative or someone who leads an exciting life. Today I did attempt to be a little imaginative though...well actually I'm just trying really hard to keep myself busy. So after buying a bunch of ingredients I have spent all day making a Hawaiian cake and chocolate caramel slices. Sounds good right? Seriously that is another thing about the summer holidays they make you fat! I can't be the only person who just sits and eat when they get bored and I've been working quite a lot ( I work in a cake shop) and they keep giving me free cakes! So maybe to occupy the rest of my time I should be doing something active to balance out the eating...maybe.

Isn't this summer just great? Who needs sunshine when you can have lots of rain and flood warnings? Can you tell that the weather is getting me down? When you live where I live horrible weather means spending the day inside playing monopoly (yep seriously that is what I am doing with my summer holidays) so its understandable that I wouldn't mind a bit of good weather coming my way. Tonight however I am going for a meal with family and friends so the thought of food is keeping me going at the moment.
One last thing I would just like to thank everyone that follows me I can't believe I'm nearly at a hundred followers! Here's hoping I reach a hundred soon and if I do a little giveaway might be in order!

We're all going on a summer holiday...

So my excuse for the delay in posting this time is an eastern Mediterranean cruise. Pretty good excuse eh? So I just returned from a week cruising the med in sweltering heat and sunshine (no complaints here) only to return to wind and rain in the UK and stories of storms.
As I have little faith in British weather I decided to attempt to wear all my summer clothes in one week because knowing Scotland it was going to be my only chance...I was pretty successful. So here are a few pictures of my holidays! Anyone else been/ going anywhere?

Yet again I have been such a bad blogger! This time however I am armed with excuses. The main one being school. I am on my second week back and already it has been hectic and stressful. Also everything just seems to be happening at once, last week I was at a Coldplay concert (amazing) and tomorrow my brother is carrying the Olympic torch all very exciting.
However there is one thing that isn't occupying me at the moment and that is my boyfriend. Yes I have become second best...to football. Even when I convince him to switch the T.V off I get a pleading look every half an hour begging me to let him check the score. All I can say is I can not wait until this year of sport is over.
One last thing this outfit came to under £30 which is quite impressive for me considering I usually don't think twice about spending £30 on the one item.

Woops so I kind of forgot to blog in a while. I would love to give you a nice excuse about how super busy and productive I've been but the truth is...I've been busy doing nothing. With the gorgeous weather I was never inside long enough to even go near the computer and then recently I have just been super lazy and have basically spent all my time playing board games with the boyfriend. The days just seem to be merging in to one another with Monday quickly turning to Thursday before I even get the chance to blink. But at long last here is an outfit that I wore to go to lunch the other day. The shirt just arrived last week from H&M and I can't decide if it is really for me. As much as I love the pattern and colours I find it a bit short at the front and it doesn't seem to quite sit right but that can just about be resolved by shoving a jacket over the top. I always like to tuck shirts in but with this one that isn't really possible so it does show a bit of skin around the hip area...which when you have been eating to many chocolate bisuits like me is a tad risky.

Hasn't this weather just been gorgeous? From the moment I woke up I've spent all day outside soaking up the sunshine and trying to darken my milk bottle legs. Is it just me or does anyone else feel extremely guilty for even spending a minute inside when we are having weather like this? The sun...and heat is so rare in this country that I really do make the most of it when we get it.
Despite looking forward to this kind of weather for at least a month so I could finally wear my summer clothes when I woke up this morning I couldn't for the life of me think what to wear! I have had all these pretty summer outfits planned in my head for ages and yet when it came to wearing one this morning I had a complete blank. So I opted for my new dress which I snapped up for the bargain price of £10! I love the feel of the material and it sits really nicely without being too floaty at the bottom it also has this nice cut out detail at the back. I have to say I'm quite pleased with my buy.

As you can see I had to move back inside to take some quick pictures because the rain just refuses to stop! I have no idea why these photos look so fuzzy so I do apologise.
Today for me is a lazy day, I had an English exam yesterday and so I have decided that means I am entitled to a day off. Although I have a Biology exam on Wednesday so I shouldn't really be sitting around doing nothing. My lazy day began with a stack of pancakes for my breakfast at about 10am and since then I have no idea where the time has gone so now I'm away to make something interesting for my luch... I think I'm in the mood for pasta. Have a lovely weekend!
